According to information from the agency, Akunbekov will continue work on five main areas that were established by his predecessor Bakyt Torobaev:
Ensuring irrigation and access to clean water;
Seeds, seedlings, breeding livestock, and veterinary medicine;
Cooperation, processing, logistics, and mechanization (MTS);
Export and import of agricultural products;
Scientific research, education, experience exchange, and training.
In addition, at the meeting, the First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliev presented the current achievements of the agency, while Deputy Minister Mirbek Duyshiev reported on credit programs in the agricultural sector.
“Currently, 9 projects of state financial support are being implemented in the agro-industrial complex, with a total amount of 13 billion 180 million soms,” the press service of the agency added.
