According to him, in 2025, mechanical cleaning and repair of 562 intra-farm and inter-farm canals were carried out. Work has also been completed on the restoration of 608 hydraulic structures, 174 water measurement posts, 91 pumping stations, and 156 pumping units, of which 19 were replaced with new ones.
The minister added that mechanical cleaning also affected 206 km of the collector-drainage network. As part of the program to provide the population with quality drinking water, in 2025, access to water was provided for more than 75,000 people in 40 rural settlements. A total of 3.7 billion soms was allocated from the state budget to finance this project.
Akunbekov also emphasized that work on the construction of water supply systems continues in 70 rural districts, 25 cities, and 601 villages. It is expected that by 2026, access to drinking water will be provided for 70 villages and three cities.
