Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev delivered a report summarizing the results of work in the financial and economic sectors for the year 2025.
He noted that last year, the services sector demonstrated impressive growth, amounting to 1 trillion 11 billion soms, which corresponds to an increase of 10.9%.
In terms of production growth rates, the services sector ranked second, yielding only to construction. Compared to 2020, the volume of services provided has tripled.
“Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, I would like to highlight two key aspects in the structure of the services sector:
First, financial services account for 7.1% of GDP, with banking assets exceeding 1 trillion soms, and the loan portfolio increasing by 48.8%.
Second, wholesale and retail trade account for 31% of GDP, which indicates the economy's exit from the shadows and the emergence of official data,” noted Kasymaliev.
The Cabinet also reminded that according to the plan, by 2030, the share of the manufacturing sector in the economy should reach 28-30%. This indicates the need for Kyrgyzstan to transition from a service-oriented economy to an industrial-agrarian model.
