“We intend to study in detail how we can influence meat prices in each region. The analysis will trace the entire chain, including production costs. Farmers claim that the price of 700 soms does not cover their expenses, but that is just words. It is necessary to conduct precise calculations and determine the actual costs,” he explained.
According to Mamytkanov, funds have previously been allocated for the development of meat clusters through various projects. However, the market situation remains tense, which prompted the start of the pilot analysis.
If the project's results are positive, further expansion may be possible.
Additionally, he noted that there are currently eight preferential lending programs for the agricultural sector. If necessary, funding can be redistributed depending on demand.
