




On March 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, visited Kyrgyzstan, where he is currently negotiating with Jeenbek Kulubaev, the head of Kyrgyzstan's foreign affairs agency.
Jeenbek Kulubaev warmly welcomed the Ghanaian delegation and emphasized that this visit symbolizes a new stage in bilateral relations.
“We perceive your visit as an important signal of mutual interest in strengthening Kyrgyz-Ghanaian ties. We are confident that it will serve as a foundation for further dialogue and practical cooperation. Despite the distance between our countries, we see Ghana not only as a new diplomatic partner but also as a friend with whom we share goals of protecting sovereignty, sustainable development in the face of climate change, and multilateral diplomacy,” noted Kulubaev.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for his part, noted that Kyrgyzstan occupies an important place in Central Asia for Ghana. He also added that with the arrival of the new president Sadyr Japarov, stability has been observed in the country.
“We are aware of your Kumtor deposit. Ghana also hosts one of the largest gold deposits in the world, which ranks in the top 5. This creates good opportunities for cooperation in gold mining,” stated Ablakwa.During the visit, it is planned to discuss opportunities for further bilateral cooperation and to sign a number of important documents.
It is worth noting that Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa's visit will conclude on March 17.
