The Jogorku Kenesh Committee approved the bill against begging in the second reading

At a meeting of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues, Law and Order, Combating Crime, and Counteracting Corruption of the Jogorku Kenesh, the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts (to the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Offenses, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On External Migration')" was considered. This draft was approved in the second reading.

The initiator was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The report on the draft law was presented by Suyunbek Omurzakov, the Chairman of the Committee. He noted that the innovation is aimed at reducing the level of begging and its negative impact on public order. It should also enhance road safety by eliminating begging on the roadway and protect vulnerable groups from exploitation for the purpose of begging.

In addition, the Committee also approved the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic Regarding the Frequency of Amendments to the Codes of the Kyrgyz Republic" in the first reading.

Deputy Minister of Justice Saira Izakova emphasized that this draft law is designed to enhance the stability and resilience of legal regulation, as well as to reduce legal uncertainty and strengthen citizens' trust in the legal system.
