Sadyraliev noted that licenses are granted to the enterprise based on decisions made by the Cabinet of Ministers. In 2024, it became known about the opening of three deposits, and in 2025, five more were added.
The new coal deposits are located in various regions of the country:
- In Batken region — "Suluktu 11-field" and "Beshburkhan,"
- In Jalal-Abad region — "Markai,"
- In Naryn region — "Torugart,"
- In Osh region — "Kojo-Kelen."
The coal reserves in these deposits amount to about 133 million tons, and active mining is currently underway.
Sadyraliev also emphasized that preparations to ensure the country’s coal supply for the autumn-winter period of 2026–2027 have already begun. Work is being carried out in Batken, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Naryn regions.
According to the deputy director general, coal from the deposits "Suluktu," "Beshburkhan," "Markai," and "Kojo-Kelen" is characterized by high quality. The "Torugart" deposit, located in the At-Bashinsky district, is primarily aimed at meeting the needs of the local population.
