From March 31 to April 3, the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev will host an exhibition dedicated to the art of ebru. This event is organized by the "Ebristan" foundation with the support of the Turkish embassy.
The exhibition will showcase works by ebru masters, as well as live demonstrations of this unique technique. The honored guest will be Hikmet Barutçugil, a recognized ebru master and holder of the title "Living Human Treasure" from UNESCO.
Additionally, his student, Kyrgyz artist Mukhlisa Imamova, will also present her creations and continue to promote the art of ebru in Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the exhibition program, the creation of flags of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan in the ebru technique is planned, as well as the depiction of the Aigul flower, which is a symbol of the Batken region. Visitors will be able to observe the process of creating the artworks and learn more about the intricacies of this art.
The organizers emphasize that ebru, which is part of the cultural heritage, has traveled from Central Asia to Anatolia, connecting traditions and contemporary art. The exhibition aims to strengthen cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place on March 31 at 15:00.
