President of the United States Donald Trump has extended an invitation to the leaders of 58 countries to join a new "Council of Peace," which will focus on issues related to Gaza. This was reported by an American official in an interview with the Axios portal.
According to the source, during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump is likely to compare the work of the "Council of Peace" with the activities of the United Nations. "I believe he may express the opinion that this council is an alternative to the UN. However, as always, it is difficult to predict exactly what Donald Trump will say until he starts his speech," the official added.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, previously confirmed that Vladimir Putin also received an invitation to participate in the "Council of Peace," and this opportunity is currently being considered.
