On November 26, a serious fire broke out in the vicinity of Tokmok and the Chui region, prompting the establishment of an operational headquarters to coordinate firefighting efforts.
The First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Azamat Mambetov arrived at the scene to assess the work of firefighters who battled the blaze for over 11 hours.
The Deputy Minister checked the technical equipment and the availability of water for extinguishing the fire, after which he took personal control of the situation. He also used a drone to inspect the site of the fire and provided necessary instructions.
By 8:30 PM, the fire was successfully localized.
A total of 186 people participated in the firefighting operation, along with 11 fire trucks, 2 water tankers, 1 mobile fire unit, 2 drones, 2 mobile pumping stations, and 5 motor pumps.
The complete extinguishing of the fire was achieved at 12:41 AM on November 27. Fortunately, no one was injured.
To prevent re-ignition, 6 rescuers, one mobile pumping station, and AR-2 equipment from the Chui region's emergency department will remain on duty at the site.
The situation is under constant control.
As a result of the fire, 2 sheds, 1000 bales of hay, a utility building, a "Muravey" motorcycle, and approximately 400 hectares of reeds, shrubs, and forest plantings were destroyed.
It is worth noting that the signal about the fire in the open area near Tokmok was received on November 26 at 12:13 PM. Strong winds that day contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
