On February 4, avalanches and snow drifts are expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan due to the deteriorating avalanche situation.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Bishkek-Osh route (length 198–255 km), including the Ala-Bel pass and the Chychkan gorge, is considered particularly hazardous. Additionally, ice and snow accumulation is likely on the roads.
“Drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles,” the ministry emphasized.
