A suspect in a series of fraud cases related to driver's licenses has been detained in Bishkek

A 25-year-old man named B.M. has been detained in Bishkek on suspicion of fraud related to promises of assistance in obtaining a driver's license. This information was disseminated by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the capital.

The victim reported to law enforcement that on December 11, 2025, in the "Kok-Jar" area, a person he barely knew, who introduced himself as A.K., approached him and offered his services for obtaining a license. For this, he took 120,000 soms from the applicant.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case was opened under Article 209, Part 2 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police Department promptly detained the suspect and placed him in a temporary detention facility.

Law enforcement agencies believe that the detainee may be involved in at least six cases of fraud.
