A man promising to help obtain a driver's license has been detained in Bishkek


A man suspected of fraudulent activities promising to assist in obtaining a driver's license has been detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Bishkek City Police Department, the detainee is 25-year-old B.M., born in 1998.

A citizen named O.U. reported to the police that on December 11, 2025, in the residential area of Kok-Zhar, a somewhat unfamiliar person named A.K. approached him. He offered his services to obtain a driver's license and, having gained the victim's trust, took 120,000 soms from him. However, he did not fulfill his promises and did not return the money.

Based on this statement, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209, Part 2 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the detainee may be involved in six similar cases of fraud. Currently, investigative actions and operational measures are ongoing to uncover other possible crimes related to his actions.
