The investigation established that from October 2020 to February 2024, a citizen identified as U.T., born in 1980, managed to gain the trust of the victim and under the pretext of selling an apartment in the "Nova City" residential complex, located on M. Gorky Street, received an amount of $284,267. To date, the money has not been returned.

Based on the above, a criminal case was initiated under part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.
On February 12, 2026, GUVD officers detained the suspect, after which he was taken to the investigative service and placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Currently, the investigative authorities are checking for possible connections between the detainee and other similar crimes.
