On December 10, 2025, employees of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic detained police colonel A.T.A., who held the position of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, on suspicion of regularly receiving bribes from subordinates.
According to information provided by the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic, since 2024, A.T.A. had been illegally collecting money from employees of the security department in the city of Balakchy, using the head of that department, D.T.I., and other associated individuals for this purpose.
It is specified that the extortion occurred in exchange for ensuring the operational activities of police officers for the protection of various facilities outside of working hours.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing to identify other officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic who may be involved in this crime. Investigative actions are continuing.
