On January 7, 2026, a statement was received at the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department from a citizen B.A., who requested assistance regarding a theft.
According to him, on the same day at around 16:30 in a mosque located in the "Dordoy" market, an unknown perpetrator secretly stole a bag containing a wallet with money, a mobile phone, and personal belongings of the complainant during prayer.
The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational investigative activities, A.S., born in 2008, was detained, who had previously had repeated legal issues. It is believed that he specialized in thefts from religious institutions.

During the interrogation, the suspect confessed that he sold the mobile phone obtained from the crime at the Osh market for 3,000 soms and spent the money on his needs.
The investigation is ongoing, and his connection to other similar thefts committed in Bishkek is being checked.
