According to the police, on May 16, 2025, M. M. filed a complaint with the First May District Internal Affairs Directorate. He reported that F. S. received a Chevrolet Trailblazer worth $20,000 in September 2024 as payment for the construction of a bathhouse on a summer cottage plot. The cost of the work was only $10,000, and F. S. had committed to return the remaining $10,000 to the car owner in cash. However, he failed to fulfill his obligations and was evading justice.
As a result, the investigative department of the First May District Internal Affairs Directorate initiated a criminal case under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.
A suspect in fraud has been detained in Bishkek.
As a result of operational-search activities, police officers were able to establish the whereabouts of F. S., born in 1989, and bring him in for questioning. Based on Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Internal Affairs Directorate.
The investigative judge of the First May District Court recognized the detention as lawful and justified, and a preventive measure of detention was chosen for the suspect. As a result, he was placed in detention facility No. 1.
Currently, an investigation is underway to determine the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes. The work of the investigative authorities continues.
