A man was detained in Kemin on suspicion of fraudulent activities.
According to information provided by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on December 17, 2025, a woman named B.N., born in 1988, reported to law enforcement. She stated that on May 27, 2025, her acquaintance asked her to take out a bank loan for 150,000 soms. After receiving the money, he promised to return it, but failed to fulfill his obligations and disappeared.
Additionally, on March 7, 2026, a report was received by the police from E.Z., born in 1998. She recounted that on May 25, 2025, citizen J.E. appraised her KamAZ truck with a trailer at 750,000 soms. Of this amount, he only paid 180,000, promising to return the rest later, but he also failed to meet his obligations and vanished.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts of fraud in accordance with Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, police officers detained the suspect J.E., also born in 1988, and placed him in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway to establish any possible connection of the detainee with other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
