The State Committee for National Security has uncovered a corruption scheme related to admission to a military educational institution

As a result of the joint efforts of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) and the Military Prosecutor's Office, a corruption scheme related to the admission of students to a higher military educational institution (VUZ) has been uncovered.

According to GKNB information, criminal cases have been initiated against some officials of the Ministry of Defense for receiving bribes and official forgery.

In 2024, a graduate of the National Military Lyceum Z.A.E. scored 108 points on the nationwide testing (ORT), which did not allow him to enter the VUZ. However, during the document processing, his results were forged, indicating 129 points, which became the basis for his admission.

During the investigative actions, it was revealed that the mother of the applicant, D.N.A., negotiated with a military officer of the Ministry of Defense K.S.A. and an official of the main personnel department of the Ministry of Defense A.A.A. for her son's admission. The participants in the scheme received 3,500 US dollars, and also transferred 40,000 soms to K.S.A. and 45,000 soms to A.A.A. through a banking terminal. The total amount of the bribe was 4,500 US dollars.

According to the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, A.A.A. was placed in the pre-trial detention center (SIZO-1) for a period of two months, from December 13, 2025, to February 11, 2026.

Currently, the GKNB, together with the Military Prosecutor's Office, continues to conduct operational-search activities and investigative actions to identify other accomplices of this corruption scheme.
