GKNB: Officials of the Ministry of Defense are involved in a corruption scheme
The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB) together with the Military Prosecutor's Office is investigating a corruption scheme related to bribery and document forgery. This crime falls under Articles 343 part 1 and 346 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2024, one of the graduates of the national military lyceum, Z.A.E., scored 108 points in the results of the nationwide testing, which is below the minimum threshold of 110 points set by the Ministry of Education and Science. Despite this, his results were forged in the final documents, and instead of 108 points, 129 were indicated, which led to his admission to the university.
During the investigative activities, it was established that the mother of the applicant, D.J.A., through the serviceman K.S.A., made an arrangement with Major A.A.A., who was responsible for admissions at the GUK of the Ministry of Defense, to have her son admitted to the university. For these services, they received 3,500 dollars, and additionally, 40,000 soms were handed over to K.S.A., and 45,000 soms were transferred to Major A.A.A. through the RSK bank terminal, totaling 4,500 dollars.

The judge of the First May District Court of Bishkek decided to place Major A.A.A. in a detention center for two months — from December 13, 2025, to February 11, 2026.

Currently, the GKNB, together with the Military Prosecutor's Office, continues to conduct operational-search and investigative activities to identify other participants in this corruption scheme.
