The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS KR), in cooperation with the antimonopoly service and local authorities in Naryn, conducted an operation aimed at preventing unjustified price increases for coal.

On December 8, during joint actions, six trucks loaded with coal from the Kara-Keche deposit, weighing a total of 108 tons, were detained. The coal was intended to be sold in Naryn at an inflated price of 6000 soms per ton.

Thanks to the measures taken, the SCNS was able to achieve a reduction in coal prices in several districts. In particular, in the Kochkor district, the price decreased from 5100 to 4000 soms per ton, in Naryn and the At-Bashinsky district—from 6000 to 5500 soms (for coal from Kara-Keche) and from 5000 to 4500 soms (for coal from Turuk).
