Monitoring of meat and coal prices in the Kara-Suu district revealed a number of violations.

According to information from the presidential representative's office in the Osh region, an inspection of establishments selling meat and coal was conducted on November 14. This was part of efforts to maintain stable prices for socially significant goods.

The inspection was carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 455 dated September 8, 2023, and the order of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce No. 205 dated November 10, 2025. The monitoring involved the first deputy representative of the president in the Osh region, Iliyas Tashbaev, the akim of the Kara-Suu district, Kanat Tabaldiev, and representatives of the tax authority. They checked meat trading points at the "Turatali" market and coal sales points in the district.

During the inspection, cases of unjustified price increases for meat and coal were identified, and explanatory work was conducted with the sellers.

The akim of the Kara-Suu district, Kanat Tabaldiev, told the Turmush publication that during the raid, prices for meat were checked. As a result, it was found that in two trading points, beef was sold for 10 soms above the established price, which led to fines from the Antimonopoly Service.

For the Kara-Suu district, the following prices are set: 1 kg of beef — 670 soms, lamb — 680 soms. "Only two points sold meat above the norm, and they were fined," Tabaldiev stated.

The akim added that overall, there is no sharp increase in meat prices in the district, and in most trading points, they correspond to the established norms.

Also, during the raid, one of the coal sellers was fined for price gouging and the absence of price tags.
