According to information from the state company, coal warehouses are currently operating in all regions. At the same time, the possibilities of opening warehouses near railway routes are being considered.
As Satygulov noted, state regulation of coal prices has been in place for 6-7 years. In 2025, it was introduced on September 15 and then extended for another five months.
According to the head of the department, the Antimonopoly Service can impose price restrictions on coal for a period of no more than 90 days, based on a decree from the Ministry of Economy and in accordance with a resolution from the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Price setting takes into account factors such as production costs, transportation expenses, loading, and costs at the point of sale, including employee salaries and other expenses,” he added.
In 2025, a maximum price for coal was also established for all regions of the country. A sorting machine is currently operating at the Kara-Keche deposit.
The service clarified that the maximum price of coal from the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" this year increased from 5300 to 5800 soms (for Bishkek) due to the costs associated with the sorting machine and the screening process.
“Previously, coal was mined, loaded, and delivered in an undivided form: large and small together. Today, measures have been taken to ensure air purity: small coal is delivered to the CHPP, while large coal is delivered to the population,” Satygulov explained.
For private entrepreneurs and companies in the capital, the price is 6600 soms. The Antimonopoly Service clarified that this cost only includes the amount for loading at the warehouses, and further transportation to the final address by private individuals may incur additional charges, which increases the final price.
