The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) warns that individuals who intentionally inflate prices on meat products or fail to comply with existing state regulations may face legal liability, including criminal charges, if their actions fall outside the law.

As of August 11, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers has set a maximum price for meat not exceeding 790 soms per kilogram. To ensure compliance with these regulations, the SCNS, in collaboration with the Bishkek city administration, the antimonopoly service, and law enforcement agencies, conducted on-site inspections at major retail outlets.

During the raids, entrepreneurs were informed about the importance of adhering to the established prices and preventing artificial increases in the cost of meat. They were reminded that any attempts to manipulate prices would be considered illegal actions.

The SCNS continues its work to ensure the country's food security and prevent artificial price increases on essential goods.
