At a meeting held on November 14, Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov discussed with the leaders of major markets in Bishkek the issue of providing farmers with free trading spaces for the sale of meat. This decision is aimed at stabilizing prices for meat products. The ministry's press service reported on this event.

The minister emphasized that the state is actively monitoring the market for socially significant goods and urged market leaders to strictly adhere to the price limits set by the antimonopoly service.

Sydykov noted: "Large markets must actively participate in the process of price stabilization. We cannot just stand aside — we need to act and provide assistance."

One of the first to respond to the initiative was Erkin Salymbekov, the head of the Dordoy-Dyikan market. He announced his readiness to provide farmers with free trading areas for a period of three months, including necessary equipment such as refrigerators and hanging racks. Similar measures were also supported by the Osh and Alamedin markets.

Meeting participants noted that this decision would allow farmers to establish direct sales, avoiding intermediaries, which should reduce the impact of markups on the final price of meat.

Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Service Muratbek Imankulov presented the results of recent inspections conducted by the service. Over the course of three months, 677 monitoring checks were carried out at nearly 2,900 trading points. As a result of these inspections, 17 entrepreneurs were issued orders, and 78 received fines totaling 316,000 soms. Imankulov added that control will be carried out even more systematically and strictly, with personal responsibility for all participants in price formation.
