He emphasized that the "Days of History and Memory of Ancestors" are not just dates, but an opportunity to renew our historical consciousness, to honor the courage of those who gave their lives for the country and strengthened the national spirit of the Kyrgyz people.
Imankulov stressed that the Kyrgyz people, having overcome numerous trials, have preserved their cultural identity and resilience. He noted that Kyrgyzstan is confidently moving forward today as an independent and equal state.
The Secretary of State also drew attention to the tragic events in history associated with repressions and honored the memory of those who became victims of the totalitarian regime, including prominent figures buried in the memorial complex "Ata-Beyit." Among them were Abdykadir Orozbekov, Jusup Abdrakhmanov, Abdykerim Sydykov, Ishenaly Arabaev, and Imanalay Aydarbekov.
He noted that these individuals placed the fate of the nation above their own interests, dedicating their lives to serving the Motherland and becoming the founders of modern Kyrgyz statehood. "To remember them is to strengthen our national self-awareness and recognize our responsibility to the state," he added.
Furthermore, Imankulov emphasized that the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors should contribute to strengthening national unity, fostering patriotism, and restoring historical justice. He called for studying the forgotten pages of history and preserving the memory of national heroes, passing their ideals on to future generations.
In conclusion, Marat Imankulov stated: "History is not a burden of the past, but a source of strength and confidence in tomorrow."
