The temporary suspension of coal supplies to the Bishkek CHPP has been announced for a period of 10 days, as stated by the Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev during a press conference. According to him, coal is loaded in Balakchy and then transported to the Chui region.

Ibraev noted that over 300,000 tons of coal have already been accumulated at the Bishkek CHPP, which meets the needs of the population. "Currently, there is enough coal. People usually start purchasing it with the arrival of the first snow. We have been urging them to do this since August," he added.

At the same time, the cost of coal at the mine is 2,500 soms per ton, however, drivers delivering it to the city sell it at a price of 8,000 soms.

In one trip, they can earn between 60,000 and 90,000 soms.

The minister also reported that the company "Kyrgyzkomur" sells coal at a price of 5,800 soms. Control over compliance with the prices set by the Antimonopoly Service is being carried out.
