Illegal Employment of 12 Foreign Citizens Discovered in the SEZ of Bishkek

During the operation "Illegal," the staff of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of the Kyrgyz Republic discovered that 12 foreign citizens, who were on the territory of the Bishkek Special Economic Zone, were engaged in illegal labor activities.

As law enforcement officials found out, these foreigners were in the country on tourist visas and did not have the right to employment.

As a result of joint actions with representatives of the internal affairs authorities, the violators were fined a total of 66,000 soms for violating Article 431, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CoAO) of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to the procedure for the stay and labor activities of foreign citizens. Additionally, the legal entity that employed these workers was fined 65,000 soms for violating the rules for attracting foreign labor under Article 93 of the CoAO of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds employers of the consequences for non-compliance with legislation regarding the attraction and use of foreign labor on the territory of the country.
