According to information provided by the state committee, on December 10, 2025, within the framework of a criminal case initiated, Colonel of Police A.T.A. was detained. During the investigation, it was revealed that he systematically extorted money from his subordinates.
The investigation established that since 2024, A.T.A. organized the collection of funds from employees of the city security department of Balykchy. The money was collected through the head of this unit, named "D.T.I.", and his close associate.
It should be noted that the funds were collected under the pretext of payment for the opportunity to take on additional work — guarding facilities during non-working hours.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are determining the involvement of other employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in this case. The investigation continues.
