According to information provided by the police, the detentions were part of an investigation into a criminal case concerning the illegal transformation of land plots in the Ken-Sai area. During this operation, the following individuals were detained:
- A.B., born in 1967, former head of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Aravan district;
- A.K., born in 1953, former head of the rural administration of Nurabad;
- I.A., born in 1969, former land issues specialist in the Aravan district, previously working at the State Agency for Land Resources;
- Y.A., born in 1968, also previously held the position of land issues specialist in the rural administration of Nurabad;
- M.U., born in 1985, former specialist of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Aravan district.
The criminal prosecution is being carried out under Article 336 of the Criminal Code ("Corruption"), and all suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Further investigation is underway, during which the investigative department of the Internal Affairs Department of the Aravan district is checking for possible involvement of other individuals in this crime.
