In Bishkek, a foreigner and a medical worker organized a scheme for selling fake medical certificates

Special services of Kyrgyzstan, GKNB, prevented illegal migration by exposing the organizers of a scheme selling fake medical certificates for extending the stay of foreigners in the country. This was reported by the press service of GKNB.

During the investigation, it was established that the forgery and sale of medical certificates of form No. 086, necessary for the medical examination of foreign citizens, were carried out with the aim of extending their legal stay in Kyrgyzstan.

On March 16, a citizen of Pakistan, A.M., was detained in Bishkek, who provided fake medical certificates to citizens of Pakistan and Bangladesh without conducting actual medical examinations. He was assisted by a medical worker from the National Hospital, I.T.V.

During searches at the residences of A.M. and the workplace of I.T.V., more than 160 fake medical certificates were discovered and seized, which were used for visa applications allowing foreigners to remain in the country.

In the context of the outbreak of the Nipah virus in South Asia, which has a high fatality rate, the presence of foreign citizens without medical examination poses a serious threat to the sanitary and epidemiological situation and national security of Kyrgyzstan.

GKNB urges foreign citizens to comply with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic to avoid negative consequences. Currently, efforts are ongoing to identify other participants in this illegal migration scheme.
