What about 'Nipah'? A Pakistani citizen and a doctor from the National Hospital organized the sale of medical certificates to migrants

The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has stopped the activities of a channel for illegal migration from South Asia and the Middle East.

In Bishkek, the activities of a criminal group engaged in illegal migration were thwarted. This was reported by the press service of the GKNB.

On March 16, 2026, during operational activities, key figures of the scheme were detained — the organizer and his accomplice, known as "A.M." and "I.T.V.", respectively.

The committee clarified that they were involved in the forgery and sale of medical certificates of form No. 086, necessary for extending the stay of foreign citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The detained individual was a Pakistani citizen "A.M.", who sold ready-made medical certificates to representatives of the Pakistani and Bengali nationalities without an actual medical examination. A medical worker from the National Hospital, "I.T.V.", was also involved in his activities.

During searches at the addresses of "A.M." and "I.T.V.", more than 160 counterfeit medical certificates were found and seized, which were used to obtain visas allowing foreigners to stay in the republic.

Additionally, the GKNB reminded that against the backdrop of an outbreak of the "Nipah" virus in South Asian countries, which has a high fatality rate, the presence of foreign citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic without medical examination poses a serious threat to the sanitary and epidemiological situation, which is a matter of national security.
