Khamenei stated: “We have prevented attempts to divide our country. We will not leave unpunished those who have harmed our martyrs, especially the martyrs from Minab. We strive for good neighborliness, but our strikes will be directed only at military bases. All American facilities in our region must be closed immediately, otherwise they will become targets. I visited the grave of my father and the fallen commander Ali Khamenei. We will demand compensation from the enemy, and if they refuse, we will take it from their property in the necessary amount. If this is not possible, we will destroy their property to the same extent.” These words were published in pro-government publications.

He also noted that the Strait of Hormuz must remain closed.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that the new leader was injured as a result of an American attack but is feeling well.
