For the first time in U.S. history, a strike was carried out against a ground target on Venezuelan territory. This was reported by Donald Trump in an interview with WABC, noting that American troops conducted a "very strong attack," resulting in the disabling of one of the country's major port facilities. The president added that the strike targeted "the dock area where ships are loaded with drugs."

According to sources from CNN, the operation was conducted by the CIA using a drone that attacked a remote dock. This facility, according to the U.S. government, was used by the "Tren de Aragua" cartel for storing drugs and subsequently loading them onto ships.

It is reported that at the time of the strike, there was no one at the dock, which helped avoid casualties. The operation was conducted with the support of Special Operations Forces; however, the command denied this information.
