The CSTO stated that rumors about Tajikistan's request for assistance in connection with the incidents on November 26 and 30, 2025, are not true. This was in response to reports that appeared in several Telegram channels.

In an official statement, the organization said that the Tajik side had not sought support. Confirmation of this information is also included in the message.

Furthermore, CSTO representatives clarified that Tajikistan's cooperation with other states within the organization to strengthen the border with Afghanistan is carried out in accordance with the Targeted Intergovernmental Program, which was adopted at the session of the Collective Security Council in Astana in 2024.

Earlier, Reuters, citing sources in Tajikistan's security forces, reported on negotiations for joint border patrols with Russia and the CSTO; however, this material was later removed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan also denied this information, stating that such rumors mislead the international community.
