At the upcoming summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will take place in Bishkek, Armenia will not be represented. This was announced by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov. He noted that the agenda of the meeting includes discussions on both international and regional security issues.
According to Ushakov, the Armenian side has notified the organizers of its absence but expressed its readiness to support the coordination of documents at the meeting.
The CSTO Collective Security Council will convene on November 27. Armenia suspended its participation in the CSTO in February 2024. In June, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a final decision on further membership would be made if partners did not make political statements regarding Azerbaijan's actions on Armenian territory.
