Bishkek Introduces Restrictions Due to CSTO Summit: Schools to Go Online, Markets to Close

From November 25 to 27, temporary restrictions will be in place in Bishkek due to the meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Council of Heads of State and other state-level events. The city administration has announced that traffic on central streets and along routes where official delegations will be moving will be limited. Residents are asked to plan their trips in advance.
On the specified dates, the "Osh Bazaar" shopping center and the "Sary-Ozon" market will also be closed for sanitation processing.
All educational institutions in the city will switch to remote learning from November 25 to December 1. Classes will be conducted according to approved programs, and no delays in the educational process are expected. Schools will resume normal operations on December 2. Higher education institutions in the capital will also transition to online learning, but only during the period from November 25 to 27.
The authorities apologize for any inconvenience and urge residents to understand these temporary measures, which are necessary to ensure safety and the successful conduct of official events.
