Recently, the XX meeting of the Advisory Coordination Center of the CSTO took place in the capital of Russia, where issues related to responding to incidents in the field of computer security were discussed. This was reported by the CSTO press service.
The meeting was opened by Valery Semerikov, Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO.
During the discussions, delegations from the member states of the organization examined significant threats to information security and methods to combat them.
Participants noted a noticeable increase in attacks related to the use of supply chains and counterparties, as well as the active involvement of various organizations and structures in carrying out such attacks.
Particular concerns were raised regarding threats associated with the leakage of vast amounts of personal data of both individuals and legal entities, as well as attacks through trusted external channels that could lead to computer incidents.
During the event, delegates exchanged views on current challenges and issues related to the timely transmission of information about critical software vulnerabilities to the owners of affected resources and their responses to these threats.
It was also noted that there is active development of cooperation in information exchange between the contact points of the CSTO Coordination Center and an increase in the number of joint activities.
Additionally, participants expressed gratitude to the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic for organizing the first International CSTO Conference on Cybersecurity, which took place in June of this year.
