The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has denied the information that starting from 2026, Russian citizens will be required to have an international passport to enter the country. This was stated by the ministry in an official announcement.

As clarified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russians can enter Kyrgyzstan with either a domestic or an international passport. For children under 14 years old, a birth certificate is acceptable.
