The new rules will come into effect on September 1, 2025
“Citizens of Kyrgyzstan who exceed the established stay period (90 days within 180 days) in Kazakhstan may face entry restrictions. We also inform you that from December 1, 2025, similar rules will apply to citizens of Kazakhstan crossing the border into our country,” reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry strongly recommends that citizens plan their trips in advance and take into account the new migration requirements of Kazakhstan, especially when making frequent border crossings, employment, education, medical treatment, or other long-term purposes of stay.
