Starting from September 1, there have been changes in the entry rules for Kazakhs into Kyrgyzstan. This was announced at a press conference by Melis Pamirov, a representative of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the new rules, Kazakhs will not be able to cross the border visa-free after 90 days of staying in Kyrgyzstan.

“Previously, citizens of Kazakhstan could leave the country after 90 days and then return again. Now, for re-entry, they will need registration. During the first 30 days of their stay, Kazakhs are exempt from this procedure; however, if they plan to stay longer, registration at their place of residence is mandatory,” he explained.

Melis Pamirov added that these measures comply with international standards and are aimed at organizing migration processes.
