
Starting from September 1, 2025, new rules regarding the stay of citizens of Kazakhstan in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic will come into effect. This was announced by the press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the new regulations, Kazakhstani citizens can stay in Kyrgyzstan for no more than 90 days within a 180-day period, starting from the date of their first entry. It is important to note that they are exempt from the requirement to register for the first 30 days of their stay. However, if they plan to stay in the country longer than this period, registration will become mandatory.
If citizens of Kazakhstan exceed the 90-day limit without registration, their access to the country will be restricted for the next 90 days.
To extend their legal stay in Kyrgyzstan, the following documents must be provided:
- registration at the place of stay;
- residence permit;
- temporary residence permit;
- "Kairylman" status;
- "Meken-cart";
- "Resident-card";
- other documents provided for by international agreements to which Kyrgyzstan is a party.
