The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that a voluntary departure program for citizens currently in the Republic of Korea without a valid visa or immigration status is being launched for a period of 90 days.
This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Justice of Korea, will be in effect from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
Main conditions of the program:
- Citizens, including Kyrgyz nationals, who leave the territory of Korea during the specified period will be exempt from fines;
- The ban on re-entry, which usually applies in cases of forced deportation, will not be enforced;
- This program applies to those who violated the rules of stay before the program's start date on December 1, 2025.
The Ministry strongly recommends that Kyrgyz citizens without legal status take advantage of this opportunity to avoid fines and other negative consequences.
