According to the press service, eight citizens of Kyrgyzstan were placed in the Consulate General after a request from Kyrgyz nationals located in the Intermunicipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Asbestovsky." The reason for this was the overcrowded conditions in the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens in Yekaterinburg.
All eight individuals are awaiting forced deportation from Russia. The Consulate General has sent a request to the relevant institution asking for permission to visit and meet with these citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that they will be sent back to Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
