According to preliminary data, the woman became a victim of fraudsters involved in labor migration and was illegally held in a military camp after believing false promises of high-paying work.
Throughout 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs facilitated the return of 12 citizens of Kyrgyzstan from Myanmar. Currently, the country's law enforcement agencies are working to close down illegal migration routes and combat fraudulent schemes.
In light of the increasing number of cases involving Kyrgyz citizens in human trafficking schemes in Southeast Asia, the ministry urges citizens to exercise caution when considering job offers abroad, especially if they come through unofficial sources.
