The victim, a woman born in 1971 named K.A., reported to law enforcement that she had fallen victim to a fraudulent scheme after selling her apartment.
As K.A. recounted, the criminals, posing as police officers, contacted her via WhatsApp and convinced her to transfer a significant amount of money to a "safe" account. After the money was sent, the scammers disappeared.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209-1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to the intentional transfer or sale of electronic payment means and SIM cards to third parties.
As a result of operational-search activities, law enforcement was able to identify and detain two suspects: A.A., born in 2003, and M.B., born in 2005. They had registered a bank card and sold its details via Telegram, using this card to receive funds from the victim.
Both suspects have been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
