In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, a criminal case has been initiated in connection with the alleged bribery of voters, as reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the October District.

According to the investigation, on November 20, 2025, a woman named B. R. approached the Investigative Department of the October District Internal Affairs Department. She stated that on the same day, around 5:00 PM, the chairperson of the homeowners' association from the "Kok-Zhar" microdistrict, S. N., came to her home and handed her husband, B. S., an election pamphlet from a candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh. Inside the pamphlet, the applicant claims, there were 2,000 soms, and S. N. herself asked them to vote for this candidate.

In Bishkek, the homeowners' association chairperson was detained for attempting to bribe a voter.
The family later returned the campaign materials and the money.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigation of the October District Internal Affairs Department under Article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, "Buying Votes of Voters." Charges have been brought against the chairperson of the homeowners' association, S. N., born in 1949.

The investigation is ongoing.
