It became known that one of the detainees, who had previously been arrested for five days, offered money after a fake passport was discovered on him. In response, the head of the city police department reacted and submitted a report to the Interior Ministry.
On October 28, two foreigners, born in 1984 and 1988, were caught red-handed in the office of the head of the city police department while handing over an amount of $900.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 345 ("Bribery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is currently ongoing.
