The number of crimes related to the organization of illegal migration has also increased by 45 percent, and the number of offenses related to the forgery of migration documents has risen by 22 percent.
Additionally, he added that about 3,000 foreign citizens, who were previously denied entry, attempted to re-enter Russia by changing their names.
In total, Russian law enforcement agencies conducted more than 200,000 inspections of places where foreigners reside and work, including markets, construction sites, shopping centers, hotels, and hostels.
According to data from the "DumaBingo" project, since 2021, the State Duma has considered 73 bills aimed against migrants. Most of these initiatives were initiated after the terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall" in 2024, when, at the direction of President Vladimir Putin, it was decided to tighten migration legislation.
