Starting from 2026, educational institutions in Russia will be required to transfer information about the enrollment and unavailability for enrollment of migrant children to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This initiative involves three key ministries: the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as reported by TASS.

The Ministry of Education will be responsible for collecting the necessary data, while the Ministry of Digital Development will handle the technical implementation so that law enforcement agencies can receive all information in digital format.
Interesting information
In Russia, more than 80 percent of migrant children have not been accepted into schools.

It is expected that such control will help identify migrant children who have not found places in educational institutions and assist them individually.

It is worth noting that previously similar actions were of a recommendatory nature. As a result of the last enrollment campaign, only 19 percent of migrant children were able to enroll in schools.
